ANNUAL SPAGHETTI DINNER - Friday, March 16 (5:30-8pm)

The band's annual spaghetti dinner will be FRIDAY, March 16 from 5:30-8pm in the high school cafeteria. $7 adults, $3 ages 10 and under. Spaghetti (with choice of marinara, meat sauce, or butter noodles), salad, bread, and drink.

Spartan Sound 1A/2A Grand Champs @ Porter Ridge !

The Spartan Sound had another outstanding showing in class at the Porter Ridge Competition on Saturday. The band competed in Class 2A and won 1st place awards in all captions... Music, Marching, General Effect, Drum Major, Colorguard, and Percussion. The band also achieved a SUPERIOR rating, which helped lead them to the Grand Champion Award for having the highest score out of the 1A and 2A bands. In addition, the band received the H. James Hill Award of Excellence as the Union County Band receiving the highest score in Prelims. The band performed a second show in the Finals and finished in 7th place overall, once again earning a Superior Rating. In addition to these outstanding awards, one of our own, 8th Grade Front Ensemble member Fernando Bonilla, won the Drum-O-Meter award for having the quickest single stroke. Congratulations to all the performers and parent volunteers for a tremendous day!

Spartan Sound Leads the Class at Mooresville Contest

The Spartan Sound had their best outing of the season on October 15 at the Mooresville Marching Band Contest. The band placed 1st in Class 2A. First Place awards were also received for Music, Marching, General Effect, Percussion, and Drum Major. Colorguard was awarded 2nd Place. The band also received the Spirit Award for the evening out of all bands in attendance.
